Where We Came From

We didn't come from the outside looking in.

We were inside.

The team behind Devete is rooted in over 17 years working in UK property in one of the UK’s leading buy-to-let businesses, with a client base spanning the UK and overseas. We weren’t on the periphery of this market. We were at its centre.

Over that time we’ve built long-standing working relationships with a range of established UK developers, across different parts of the market from large-scale residential schemes to smaller boutique projects. The benefit of that history is straightforward: when clients ask us about a specific developer or property, we can share factual information from people we actually know and have worked with.

Many of our clients are existing UK landlords navigating recent changes others are people exploring UK property for the first time. Over time, we watched the market shift underneath landlords in particular. The rules changed. The tax environment changed. The cost of borrowing changed. Understanding what has actually changed is the first step for anyone considering UK property today. That’s the gap we built Devete to close.
